Twitter Info

     The stuff that I know about Twitter is bigger than a breadbasket and smaller than a bus.  I got a Twitter account early, but succumbed to the local peer opinion that it was just a waste of time.  Nothing could have been further from the truth.

What Is It?

     According to the site "Twitter is an information network that brings people closer to what’s important to them."  Yeah. Whatever.  It didn't start like that. It started as just a bunch of text messages by people that were having fun. Their big draw was statuses that told people "What you are doing right now!"

What Does Twitter Do For You?

     For the people that use it regularly, it keeps them connected in ways that are simply not possible any other way.  How else would you send a message that could be read AND responded to by tens of thousands of people... in seconds.  Yeah. I thought not.

Fine...What Else?

     The number of ways that Twitter is used can't be covered in one posting. I will give you some ideas of things you could be doing with it, as a business.

• Use Hashtags to create
• Give tips about your community (as in local events)
